Our story
One man. One lure. One fish.
Mayday started in 2023 in an empty box trailer parked in founder Dean Engela's driveway. The mission was simple: build a lure to catch a fish.
Countless late nights of obsessive R&D later that one lure became a business run by a four-man crew on the southern tip of Africa.
